About Bluenose Accounting

Bluenose Accounting is a growing three-partner firm with locations in Upper Tantallon (at the entrance to Peggy’s Cove Road) and Hammonds Plains (at the entrance to the Kingswood subdivision). We are a team of friendly and approachable professionals who provide services ranging from bookkeeping to personal and corporate tax planning. Our clients include individuals, small-to-medium owner-managed businesses, and non-profit organizations. Our goal is to guide our clients’ businesses through all stages of growth ‒ from initial start-up to the continued expansion of their operations.

Our clients are a diverse group of businesses, organizations, and professionals dedicated to success. They share our goals and believe that accounting services should be more than a once-a-year experience. We focus on helping them set and achieve their objectives by providing assurance, financial reporting, and innovative tax and business advisory services. Our mission is to exceed our clients’ expectations while providing these services for a reasonable fee.

Bluenose Accounting was established in 1998 as a personal tax preparation alternative to the discount tax preparation firms in Vancouver by Anthony Fielding Ph.D., CPA, CA. Bluenose Accounting continues to prepare returns for Vancouver clients to this day and has personal and corporate tax clients across the country. After moving back to his native Nova Scotia in 2002, the business expanded to a full service accounting firm, moving from Hubley to Upper Tantallon in 2007 and then 2010 to the current location at the entrance to Peggy's Cove Road. The firm's second office opened up in late 2014 in Hammonds Plains at the entrance to the Kingswood subdivision.

Anthony's experiences as an articling student in British Columbia shaped the culture of Bluenose Accounting. The firm's progressive approach to services enables it to deliver a level of service not always common in the accounting world. The diverse background of our team of professionals enables us to approach accounting and tax situations from a unique perspective. We are excited about what the future will bring and welcome challenges. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients with the best possible service. Through all the growth, we have not lost sight of what has made us successful and we thank our clients for helping us achieve success.
